Nine-Year Old Warrior Championed the Cause of the Critically Endangered Wild Bactrian Camel It will be a year to date on May 27, 2005 that our warrior went on his new journey... His family and friends miss him dearly, but we are inspired by his courage every day. Brad Lawless, a nine year old boy who battled Ewing's Sarcoma, has sent his dream on a journey to the wilds of the Gobi desert to save the endangered wild camels of the Gobi. Brad and the wild camels share a common bond : cancer. The wild camels living in the far away Gobi Desert may offer a possible cure for illness based on preliminary research. Brad teaches us that, "One small boy with cancer can change the world if you listen." A wild female camel, Judy, was adopted in honor of Bradford Lawless, who named her before she was born. Judy now lives as a legacy to Brad and his final role in helping to save the wild camels. http://www.wildheartranch.com/kidsclub/EAN/kc_Meet_Judy_Real_Camel.asp A children's book entitled "Bradford and the Journey to the Desert of Lop" tells his story and his magical journey .
